Steps to Get Your Ps

1
Complete 120 Logbook Hours

Record all supervised hours in your VicRoads logbook or myLearners app. Focus on quality experience in different conditions.

How EZ Drive Helps: Our lessons count toward your hours and provide structured, high-quality practice.
2
Pass Hazard Perception Test (HPT)

A computer-based assessment (28 scenarios) measuring your ability to identify hazards. Conducted at VicRoads centres.

How EZ Drive Helps: We teach hazard scanning and anticipation during every practical lesson.
3
Book Your VicRoads Driving Test

Book online or call 13 11 71. Popular locations: Burwood, Carlton, Sunshine, Broadmeadows.

Tip: Book early as wait times can be long.

4
Prepare for Your Test

The 45-50 min test assesses parking, lane changing, traffic navigation, and safety checks.

How EZ Drive Helps: We offer mock tests on real VicRoads routes to fix mistakes and reduce anxiety.
5
Pass Your Test

Bring your permit, logbook, and roadworthy car. Stay calm, follow instructions, and drive defensively.

Pass = P1 Licence & Freedom!

6
Progress to P2 and Full Licence

After 12 months on Red Ps with a good record, you graduate to Green Ps. Finish your P2 period to get your Full Licence.
