Licence Requirements & Conversion

🚘 Learner to P Licence

Under 21 Requirements:

  • 120 hours supervised driving
  • 10 hours night driving
  • Hold learner permit for 12 months
  • Record in official logbook

🌍 Overseas Conversion

Permanent Visa Holders: Can drive on overseas licence for 6 months from arrival/visa grant. Then must convert.

Temporary Visa Holders: Can usually drive indefinitely if licence is current, valid and in English (or with translation).
